Wearing diapers is expensive, but there are ways to save on the protection you need. Here are a few:

1. Thrift Stores - This can be a great way to find deeply discounted adult diapers, even premium brands. As with anything at a thrift store it can be hit or miss as to if they have any at a given time, so check often. Some users have reported that you can ask some thrift stores to pull any that come in and give you the first crack at them.

2. Sales - We try to gather sales from online stores here, but you can also use sites like RetailMeNot to find coupon codes and deals

At home I use washable "training pant" style underwear, or pocket diapers (like those sold at BiggerDiapers). They cost more up front but can be worn and washed hundreds of times for big savings in the long run.

Outside the house I prefer disposables to guarantee extended protection, though many cloth-lovers tell me that flat-fold diapers and plastic pants keep them dry all the time.

Cloth is also great for side sleepers who need more protection on the side than the average disposable provides.

4. Coupons - Visit the sites of Depend, Tena and other brands and request a free sample. These samples often include a coupon towards your next purchase.

5. Health Savings Accounts - If you participate in an HSA program, most diapers, undergarments and even GoodNites for the little ones are HSA-eligible.

These are just a few ways to find the protection you need at a price you can afford. Comment below with your tips!
